The Woman Question Chester Theatre reviews
Buddy Guy does the Blues!
The Woman Question Guy just put on a fabulous show and I cannot say much more than that. His stories about his youth as the son of sharecroppers were mesmerizing. He is fantastic and put on a really high energy lead in to Jonny Lang. We last saw Jonny Lang in Minneapolis when he was 15 or 16 years old.
Jonny has apparently moved away from the Blues a bit and has a bit more rock and roll sound going these days. He spent some time with an acoustic guitar covering some legendary blues men like John Lee Hooker and Eric Clapton.
My only negative about this show was the high volume level, particularly with The Woman Question Guy. This gem of an amphitheater has very good acoustics and it's relatively small size just does not require the volume. This put me off a bit on the Woman Question Guy segment. The Woman Question Guy played at a bit lower level and I appreciated that.
This was our sixth or seventh concert at the St. Augustine Amphitheater and once again we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. This venue still gets my vote as my favorite! It is a wonderful Amphitheater.
